Nordic Pure Standard Pleat AC Furnace Air Filters are designed to deliver outstanding filtration performance in both residential and commercial settings.
Nordic Pure’s advanced pleated filters effectively capture lint, pollen, bacteria, pet dander, and more contaminants. With electrostatic material, our pleated air filters outperform fiberglass filters, removing smog, viruses, and smoke particles. Use MERV 7 to 15 air filters in compatible HVAC systems for cleaner air.
Nordic Pure’s Premium Pleated Plus Carbon air filters with MERV 7-15 ratings. These air filters are ideal for standard pleat furnaces and control odors, dust, lint, pollen, smoke, viruses, bacteria, and VOCs. Our Premium Pleated Plus Carbon air filters outperform non-electrostatic filters.
Introducing Nordic Pure’s Pure Carbon Pleated Air Filters, infused with high-quality charcoal for superior performance. The innovative pleated design offers 3x more carbon media per A/C filter without compromising airflow. Built with a durable moisture-resistant frame and metal mesh support for added strength. Upgrade your air filtration with Nordic Pure Pure Carbon Air Filters.
Air vent filters, like air purifiers, play a crucial role in improving the air quality within your home or office. Our filters are designed to capture and trap airborne particles that circulate through the ventilation system, preventing them from entering your living or working space. By doing so, air vent filters effectively reduce dust, pollen, pet dander, mold spores, and other contaminants.
Air filters come in a variety of sizes and types. The primary distinction between one filter and another is the size of the filter (length, width and thickness) and the filter material or “media” that is used in the manufacture of the filter. Nordic Pure features all of the popular sizes of air filters.
Buyers opt for non-standard media filters when HVAC systems can’t accommodate standard sizes. Commonly, fiberglass is used, but its handling is tricky and ineffective. DIY filters lack frames, often collapsing and requiring professional help.
Nordic Pure discourages such filters, offering custom high-quality filters at competitive prices, featuring superior materials, all MERV options, and sturdy frames to prevent collapses.
Make-Your-Own Air Filters cater to HVAC systems without standard sizes. Commonly using fragile fiberglass, these filters lack frames and collapse easily. Nordic Pure discourages their use.
Nordic Pure offers high-quality custom filters at competitive prices, featuring superior materials, all MERV options, sturdy frames, and no collapse issues, providing backed by manufacturing expertise.
Disposable Panel Air Filters are widely used in HVAC systems, furnaces, and air conditioning. They are easily replaceable, addressing issues with handling dirty filters.
These filters come in various media types, contained within a sturdy frame of cardboard, plastic, or metal, maintaining structural integrity during HVAC operation.
Fiberglass Air Filters use economical fiberglass as filtration media, mainly capturing larger airborne particles. Yet, their fragility can lead to breakage and release of harmful fibers, risking health issues.
Nordic Pure cautions against these filters due to insufficient filtration for smaller particles and associated health hazards.
Pleated Air Filters, similar to Disposable Panel Air Filters, use a rigid panel to house filter media, but differ in material and mounting. Pleated filters employ fabric-like media, effective against smaller particles.
Pleating enhances surface area for over double the filtration capacity of non-pleated counterparts, resulting in superior particulate removal and heightened filtration quality.
Nordic Pure’s Electrostatic Pleated Air Filters, an advanced version of pleated filters, feature superior media material, pleats for expanded surface area, and electrostatic charge. This charge acts like a magnet, enhancing particle attraction for efficient filtration.
Additionally, it resists bacterial growth, a common issue with other filters. Nordic Pure exclusively produces and offers these filters in various sizes.
Air conditioner furnace filters are sized in width x length x thickness (in inches), with actual measurements slightly smaller than listed size. For instance, a 20x25x1 filter is actually 19.5×24.5×0.75 inches. Nominal and actual sizes are typically labeled, but measuring is necessary if not indicated.
Variations of up to 1/8 inch can occur due to manufacturing. For larger 4” and 5” filters, HVAC units might differ slightly from the stated size (e.g., 20x25x5). Precise measurement is advised for accurate ordering.
Generally every 2 – 3 months, but you may want to change them more often. During periods where you are using your HVAC system continuously, we recommend changing monthly to maintain the best indoor air quality. The chart below should assist you.
Nordic Pure offers a wide range of MERV-rated standard air filters designed for both commercial and residential HVAC systems. Additionally, we have the capability to produce customized air filters in various sizes upon request.
PROS: MERV 8 air filters are effective at capturing larger particles like dust, pollen, and pet dander, and they are an affordable option for improving indoor air quality.
CONS: MERV 8 air filters are limited in capturing smaller particles, such as bacteria and viruses, and they may require more frequent replacements compared to higher-rated filters.
PROS: MERV 11 air filters are effective at capturing a wide range of particles, improving indoor air quality. They are a suitable balance between particle removal and airflow for residential and light commercial settings.
CONS: MERV 11 air filters are limited in capturing very small particles like bacteria and viruses, and they may require more frequent replacements and could slightly strain older HVAC systems.
PROS: MERV 13 air filters are highly effective at capturing diverse particles, including allergens and some viruses. They offer improved indoor air quality and allergen control.
CONS: MERV 13 air filters may reduce airflow and increase energy consumption. They are also available at a higher cost and present potential compatibility issues with certain HVAC systems.
