Our Pleated Plus Carbon air filters come in MERVs 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15. These standard pleat furnace filters are a simple solution for controlling both odors and dust particles for fresh, clean air. MERVs 7, 13, 14 and 15 have an electrostatically charged pleated MERV layer, plus a flat layer of polyester media impregnated with activated carbon. MERVs 8, 10 and 12 Pleated Plus Carbon consist of a durable non-woven polyester base media infused with a naturally derived charcoal. These pores are highly adsorbent, forming a strong chemical bond, or attraction, to odorous gaseous air molecules. They provides 3 times as much carbon media per air filter, and remove levels of concentration of gases (VOC’s) as well as particulates in the air while maintaining excellent air flow properties.
