Nordic Pure Pleated Plus Carbon air filters come in MERVs 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14 and 15. These standard pleat furnace filters are a simple solution for controlling both odors and dust particles for fresh, clean air. MERVs 7, 13, 14 and 15 have an electrostatically charged pleated MERV layer, plus a flat layer of polyester media impregnated with activated carbon. MERVs 8, 10 and 12 Pleated Plus Carbon consist of a durable non-woven polyester base media infused with naturally derived charcoal. These pores are highly adsorbent, forming a strong chemical bond, or attraction, to odorous gaseous air molecules. They provide 3 times as much carbon media per air filter and remove levels of concentration of gases (VOC’s) as well as particulates in the air while maintaining excellent air flow properties. This results in less air flow restriction and 33% more surface area for cleaner smelling air. Each time air passes through a Nordic Pure carbon pleated furnace filter, lint, household dust, pollen, dust mites, pet dander, smoke particles, virus carriers, bacteria, mold spores, and other contaminants are removed.

This high-performance HVAC replacement filter will outperform non-electrostatic fiber-glass filters, washable filters, poly disposable filters, and will help keep your air conditioning and heating systems running efficiently, saving you money on utilities and costly maintenance. All Nordic Pure + Carbon Pleated air filters are manufactured using a heavy duty, moisture resistant beverage board frame. There is a metal mesh support grid bonded to the pleats for extra support. Our AC filter media prevents the growth of bacteria or mold on the air filter, resulting in a much healthier living environment.

The effective life of your AC air filter depends on both the inside and outside conditions in which you live. It is important to regularly change your furnace air conditioner filters, especially during any home improvements, for fresh, clean air in your home or office.
